It almost never fails, whenever I show a client a site that is using the very popular fake text, Lorem Ipsum, they never know what it is. Their first reaction is to tell me that it’s not English. Then they ask if it’s Latin. So to all of my non-designers Lorem Ipsum is fake text, it isn’t Latin (although it’s derived from Latin), it is just a place holder.
