I’m going to vent a little so bare with me. Flash sites are not a good thing. They take forever to load, and often times are not done very well. Don’t get me wrong they do provide a good user experience. However flash is only appropriate for certain sites. For instance sites that promote movies are often done in Flash. This is because they can provide a good flashy (no pun intended) user experience, to get people excited about the film. Users will also only go to these kinds of sites maybe once or twice. Sites that users go to daily should NOT be done in Flash. The cool little animations and stuff gets old really fast. Plus after a user has visited a site a couple of times, they start to not care about the design, they just want to content. Flash slows that process down. So to all of my flash developers, flash is OK but it depends on what the site is going to be used for.
