Much of what I have done up till now has been design or client side languages like XHTML and CSS.   However I want to do it all, create web applications and then design the interface for them. So I have decided to learn Ruby on Rails. Originally I was going to learn PHP (I know a little just from working with Wordpress but hardly enough to write my own apps) but then I stumbled across Ruby on Rails, and I really liked what I saw. Ruby is a very elegant language and it’s not very hard to understand. The Rails framework is very well thought out and logical.

I have Ruby installed on my computer and I have been going through some tutorials and creating some very basic applications. It’s been fun so far, and pretty easy.  If any knows of any good Ruby on Rails tutorials please post them in the comments. I’ll keep everyone updated on my Ruby adventures as I create some applications and learn new things.
