I am addicted to Twitter, I make updates and see what other people are doing. I love twitter, that is why when I heard of Pownce I got really excited, because Pownce is basically Twitter on crack. It has a lot more features, then Twitter. Pownce lets you post messages, links, files, and events. Unlike Twitter, where you post to everyone, pownce lets you post to the public, or just your friends, or just a group of friends, or even just one friend. I know Twitter has direct messages but Pownce makes it so much easier. Plus Pownce lets you reply to peoples messages which is pretty cool.

Pownce has a great design, it was designed by the same guy that designed Digg.com, Daniel Burka. He did a really great job, it is very easy, and simple to use. He also made a desktop app that uses Adobe’s AIR. The desktop app, which I know is just in Alpha 2 stage,  needs some work. Hopefully they will make it better. Overall Pownce is great, I think it is a lot better then Twitter. Unfortunately it is a closed beta test, so you do need an invite. Just put your email in and you should get one soon.
